Yes indeedy - as of 4 Nov, room 4 at the playhouse is now
marshmallow and
flame (that's white and red to you and me). This was coordinated
by Alex (left), the social secretary. Notice how the paint
matches the lipstick - incredible, eh? Some people change their
make-up, Alex just changes the room to match.
She was
helped (right) by Tony Pegg (chair) and Dave Mumford. Tony is the
rather scary one in the background, Dave is the upstanding fellow
at the front.
Downstairs, many other Playhouse types, including Boardwalkers' own Peter, were ripping up carpets, pulling down lights and generally vandalising the Exhibition Room (no pictures here as they might just encourage the young).
Monkeying around on the ceiling was Hamish. In the right light,
he almost looks human, doesn't he? And rumour has it that at
some point he learnt to pick up a paintbrush - clever chap.
And, in his rightful place (on his knees), was young Glenn
Burns (right).
Other Boardwalkers who helped out (and who by good fortune were not captured on Caroline's camera) were Ann, Lesley and Richard. If I've forgotten you, I'm very sorry and our thanks go to all of you who turned up. And extra special thanks go to Ann's Theatre Studio youngsters, who did an awful lot of work in Room 4.
